How to Make a Creative Inactive

It is not possible to entirely delete a Creative asset in your Merchant account, however, you do have the ability to change the status of a Creative to ‘Defunct’ (inactive) to make it so your Affiliates cannot view it in your Creative Inventory going forward.

To make a Coupon/Deal 'Defunct' you can follow these steps:

1. Go to CREATIVES > Deals and Coupons

2. Click 'Edit' to the right of the the Coupon/Deal you'd like to make 'Defunct'

3. Adjust the 'End Date' to a date in the past (effectively making the Coupon/Deal expired)

4. Click 'Update Coupon' to finalize and save

After following these steps you should no longer see this Coupon/Deal listed in your Creative Inventory (you may need to refresh the page). As such, Affiliates will not be able to view this Coupon/Deal going forward. You can view this inactive Coupon/Deal in your Merchant account at any time by clicking ‘Filter Creatives' on the left side of the page and selecting 'Defunct’ as the Status (for internal use only; Affiliates cannot view your inactive Creatives).

To make a Text Link ‘Defunct’ you can follow these steps:

1. Go to CREATIVES > Text Links

2. Click 'Edit' to the right of the the Text Link you'd like to make 'Defunct'

3. Select 'Defunct - Not Visible to Affiliates' from the drop-down menu next to Banner Is

4. Click 'Update Now'

To make a Banner 'Defunct' you can follow these steps:

1. Go to CREATIVES > Banners

2. Click the Banner that you'd like to make 'Defunct'

3. Select 'Defunct - Not Visible to Affiliates' from the drop-down menu next to Banner Is

4. Click 'Update Now'
