How to Upload a Datafeed

Merchants can upload 31 datafeeds a month and can include up to 50,000 products per feed. Its important to note that every time you upload a datafeed it replaces the one we currently have in our system. We highly recommend to Merchants that they keep a master copy on their device and make edits when necessary.

Datafeeds are not required for Merchant programs. It is completely up to the discretion of the Merchant to upload, update, and maintain any datafeeds they upload to ShareASale. Although, we do recommend that Merchants upload a datafeed to allow Affiliates to target specific products when sending traffic. This is a great way to be easily found by potential Affiliates who search for programs based on products. You can implement a datafeed at your convenience.

Datafeeds are files that include information about a merchant’s products. Information that is included is: SKU, URL to Product, price, category, availability, description, etc. A merchant should include as much information as possible so that affiliates can promote their products effectively.

To find our datafeed requirements and upload page follow these steps below:

Step 1 - Navigate to the Data Feed page

A merchant can either use this link – https://account.shareasale.com/m-productmanagement.cfm

or they can get there by clicking the “Creatives” tab and then “Datafeed”.

Step 2 - Upload the Data Feed

You can get here by following this path

Creatives >> Datafeeds >> Upload a Datafeed

The data feed file has been completed based on ShareASale’s requirements, so the final step is to upload it. Click “Choose File” and then “Upload Datafeed”.

If there are any errors or complications during the uploading process an error will either appear after the file has been chosen or the ShareASale Technical Support team will contact the Merchant if the file failed to upload.
