Datafeed Optimizations

Product Level Commissions via Datafeed

First, we recommend reaching out to our support team if you are interested in setting up Product Level Commissions. This tool will need to enabled by ShareASale support, you can reach us at shareasale@shareasale.com to start a ticket with us. Our technical support team will need to assist you with configuring your tracking pixel to handle the necessary tracking upgrades if you are not already tracking product data.

The two columns highlighted Green in the table below are only for use with Product Level Commissions. You can specify the commissions for each SKU by using the customCommission and customCommissionIsFlatRate columns.

If you want percentages for your products you can put that number value in the commission column AO(customCommissions).

If you are interested in flat fees, the flat fee number will be inputted in column AO(customCommissions) and then you will have to input a "1" in column AP(customCommissionIsFlatRate).

If you do not want to set a custom commission for a product, please enter a D for the customCommission column and leave customCommissionIsFlatRate empty, or leave both columns blank.

Any SKUs that do not receive a specialized commission will be given you programs default commission rate.

SKU Percentage Commission Example

Here the SKU is set to a 10% commission by entering a “10” in the customCommissions column(AO) and entering a “0” in the customCommissionsIsFlatRate column(AP).

SKU Flat Rate Commission Example

Here the SKU is set to a $2 flat amount. This is set by entering a “2” in the customCommissions column(AO) and entering a “1” in the customCommissionsIsFlatRate column(AP).

StoresConnect
Datafeeds are not a required part of StoresConnect for multi-store Merchants. Datafeeds by store can be left disabled to allow the use of a singular master datafeed instead of separate store-by-store datafeed uploads.

If one datafeed file per store is wanted, in each datafeed file a new column must be added between “Custom 5” and “Manufacturer” called “StoreID” which should specify the StoreID of the product (Column 20). Here is a StoresConnect datafeed template available for use.
